  2. This special demonstration version of "Kevin's Quiz" is a working version of
  3. the original program, but comes with a fixed choice of game options which you 
  4. can't alter.

  7. The game should work on any Acorn RISC machine, and automatically selects 
  8. the full height screen 256 colour screen most appropriate for your machine 
  9. when it is running, returning to the previous screen mode when finished.
  10.  
  11. It will take up much of the available memory on a basic 1 megabyte 
  12. Archimedes, so try and close down other applications before running the 
  13. program if you only have limited memory available.
  14.  
  15. The game instruction below include those for the full version of the game, 
  16. so that you can see the wide range of options that could be available.
  17.  
  18. On this demo version, the range of options is very limited, and clicking 
  19. on the "choice" buttons at the bottom of the screen has no effect, except for 
  20. the "Play" and "End" buttons.

  22. This demo version uses the same fixed choice of options every time it plays.

  24. On the full version:

  26.    - you have full control over all the program options
  27.    - there are 5 different skill levels available
  28.    - you can select from 1 to 3 players
  29.    - you can have from 2 up to 10 sums per game
  30.    - you can choose a combination of any of the following types of sum:
  31.      + Addition up to 10, 20 or 99
  32.      - Subtraction up to 10, 20 or 99
  33.      x Multiplication tables (you can select any combination to suit)

  36. To LOAD the program, simply double click on the "!kquizdemo" application.

  39. To PLAY the game, click on "Play" at the bottom of the screen.

  42. To QUIT the program, press ESCAPE or click on "End" at the end of a game.

  45. "Kevin's Quiz" is only one of the three fun educational games in our "TV Fun & Games" pack, and each game features 256 colour graphics, extensive use of digitised speech and detailed animations digitised from live video.

  49. Game 1: "Weatherman"  - Create your own weathermaps with a range of animated 
  50.          weather symbols, just like the ones on TV. This game helps to 
  51.          familiarise children with common weather types, as well as points of 
  52.          the compass, and locations of countries within the U.K.

  54. Game 2: "Kevin's Quiz"- as featured in this demonstration version.

  56. Game 3: "Gnomework"- A TV gardener is relaxing in his garden and getting
  57.          Gerald the garden gnome and his friends to find various items and put 
  58.          them in store (helps children with matching, sorting, classification, 
  59.          counting, and use of simple bar charts)
